Fragrant wintersweet and picturesque view from Mt. Hodosan’s summit
From the end of January to the middle of February is the best time to see the sweet-smelling wintersweet at the summit of Mt. Hodosan.
There are many tourists who travel a long way to see these flowers since you are able to smell the wintersweet and enjoy the view from the mountain summit.
We recommend using the cable car to get to the summit. The cable car station is only 20 minutes from Nagatoro Station, so you can easily get to the summit and enjoy the flower viewing.
