Ashigakubo Icicles
During January and February, the extreme coldness causes natural ice art to form in Ashigakubo.
Visitors are able to look at these giant icicles (over 125m) from any angle.
The warm local tea and sweet sake served in this area are also very popular.
The icicles are lit up every weekend from sunset to 8 p.m. to give visitors a look into a beautiful magical world.
It is also an easy place to access since it is only a 10 minute walk from Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line.
